WHAT: Innovative Housing Opportunities (IHO) presents its 3rd Symposium Series, this time elevating the discussion on innovative financing strategies. Traditional funding models alone can’t meet the growing demand for affordable housing. To bridge the gap, we must explore new and sustainable financing options that attract investment, reduce costs, and ensure long-term affordability.
SPEAKERS: Speakers announced to date include: Daniel Warwick, Principal at HR&A Advisors; Yves M. Mombeleur, Chief Operating Officer at Clearinghouse Community Development Financial Institution and Managing Director at FVLCRUM; along with Rochelle Mills, President & CEO, Innovative Housing Opportunities.
Daniel Warwick is a principal at HR&A Advisors, a national real estate and economic development consulting firm. Based in Washington, DC, he leads fund design and deployment for public sector, philanthropic, and impact investor clients pursuing new approaches to creating and preserving housing affordability. His work guides billions of dollars of investment in affordable housing, including both traditional tax credit developments and innovative strategies that achieve affordability without leveraging LIHTC.
Yves M. Mombeleur is Chief Operating Officer at Clearinghouse Community Development Financial Institution and Managing Director at FVLCRUM where he acts as liaison between FVLCRUM and financial institutions, community partners, and community-based organizations. Mombeleur is also an adjunct professor at the Pacific Coast Banking School, preparing future bank executives to effectively address ongoing banking issues. Clearinghouse is a billion-dollar national CDFI that provides real estate secured loans to promote economic opportunities and improve quality of life for low to moderate income communities throughout the U.S. and Indian Country.
