Norwalk Towers

Norwalk Towers, the tallest building in the city of Norwalk, is an 11-story senior apartment community for residents aged 62 and older. It is located adjacent to Norwalk City Senior Action Center and within walking distance of shopping, churches, and public transportation. The $12 million rehabilitation preserved the former HUD 236 property and provided numerous upgrades including renovated apartment bathrooms and kitchens, improved common areas, an expanded community room with new kitchen, new resident services offices, and upgraded landscaping with new walkways that encourage exercise. The renovation also included several sustainable elements such as high-efficiency windows, regenerative elevators that collect and recycle energy, LED lighting, and the largest rooftop-mounted solar thermal system in the City of Norwalk.
